Last month, the G2 Gallery in Venice, California premiered 100 Years of National Parks : West, the fourth and final installment of the gallery's year-long series. The previous three-month each exhibits covered the north, south and midwestern United States, commemorating more than 600 landmarks, monuments, historical sites, parks , waterways, trails, homes and heritage areas. The show is in celebration of the National Park Service's centennial anniversary and highlights what is often said to be "America's Best Idea", the stunning national parks of the United States. For this final show, over 1500 images were submitted and reviewed by the gallery through open call. The exhibit runs through December 24, 2017.
