Elizabeth Lavin, a BFA graduate from the University of Colorado, moved to Texas in 2004. She began working with D Magazine in 2005. For the last 12 years, her photography has focused on presenting important social and environmental issues to the residents of North Texas. Lavin specializes in portrait and fashion photography and has received international recognition for her work. Her diverse experiences include working with pediatric heart specialists preforming open heart surgery in the mountains of Honduras. Her recent work includes portraits commissioned by NBC for a human trafficking story and work for Vogue Mexico.
