Cover By Kidd

Seems like the Renee Rhyner Image Library is quite a popular stop for major book designers. Chip Kidd is the latest of a long list of publishing creatives to put Fredrik Broden's concepts to work on the shelves of America's bookstores. The "boy on the lawn" photograph was purchased by Kidd to use as the cover image for American Fantastic Tales: Terror and the Uncanny from the 1940's Until Now, with one twist: the addition of a terrifying and uncanny hole in the grass.

American Fantastic Tales: Terror and the Uncanny from the 1940's Until Now is published by Library of America and available on amazon.com.
