Winning Look

The winners of the influential and provocative Photo District News/Nikon Self Promotion Awards have been announced and Renee Rhyner & Co. have scored for Best Overall Campaign. Judges for this 26th installment of the event were from Saatchi and Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather, W and Garden & Gun magazine, and based their awards for the category on the intelligent, effective and consistent branding of all marketing materials, including print pieces, email blasts and website design.


The winning Rhyner work designed by TBA+D uses Avant Garde type throughout—in a way that would surely please its creator Herb Lubalin— and showcases samples from the company’s image library by photographers: Fredrik Brodén, Bruce Hulse, Beth Perkins and Stephen Karlisch.







Photo District News (or PDN) is the preeminent trade publication for professional photographers and takes its name from New York’s once flourishing zone of photo businesses that were located in the Flatiron District.
