Travels with Heifer

An old maxim tells us "give a man a fish, and he eats for a day; teach
a man to fish, and he eats for the rest of his life." Indeed, Heifer
International operates in a way unique to most Non-Profit
Organizations --funds donated are used to teach and empower whole
communities by donating animals & the knowledge to raise and breed
them, provided that the recipients will "pass the gift" to a neighbor
in need.

Photographer and videographer Dave Anderson has literally crossed the
globe to document Heifer's charity at work; he has traveled to
Ecuador, Peru, Tanzania, and most recently Haiti. Dave's work is
meant to educate donors, and highlight the autonomy regained by
communities involved in Heifer's empowering programs --but the images
(even more with the films) seem to something even more: they transport
the viewer to beautiful, raw locales, while imbuing a sense of joy in
the most basic of forms. See for yourself and, perhaps, dare to
donate.
