After graduating with a BFA from the University of Colorado, Elizabeth Lavin moved to Texas in 2004. In 2005, she began working with D Magazine. For the last 12 years, her photography has presented important social and environmental issues to those that reside in North Texas, often in a very creative and artistic way. Lavin’s specialty is storytelling, and she has received international recognition for her work. One of her most notable experiences is her work with pediatric heart specialists as they performed open heart surgery in the mountains of Honduras. Her most recent work include work for Vogue Mexico and portraits commissioned by NBC that portray a human trafficking story.
